The Deception
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Sure you do. You haven’t found her. You don’t even know her.”
“Know who? Who IS THIS?”
“You have to find her. I can help you.” She felt the dread getting a hold of her. What was going on? She decided to play along.
“Who do I have to find?” Silence filled the line and for a moment Alex thought the call had dropped. But then she heard him again. Whispering.
“Your daughter.”
Alex Montoya’s life appears entirely ordinary, until the day she receives the phone call. The fateful call from a stranger who would begin to show her the deceit. The lie that her life is anything but what it seems.
