Prologue

She gasped.  Of all the horrific responses he expected, a gasp.  Nothing more.  A wild-eyed look, an open mouth and the loud intake of air.  He was disappointed to say the least.  She had fainted quickly afterwards and he was left with the daunting task of dealing with her motionless body.  He was guilty of having his way.  You couldn’t blame him; she’d been seducing him for months.  He felt the urgent need to see what she was offering, and this had become the perfect opportunity.

After he finished, he piled her with the others in the cellar, but not before bounding her hands and feet.  He also carefully covered her mouth.  She certainly could not become an annoyance of herself while he was having company that night.  All the preparations had been made, and a disturbance was definitely out of the question.

This little venture itself had taken him off track, but sometimes a little reward is permitted, as long as the risk is worth it.  And she was worth it.  He closed the sound proof door, making sure nothing looked out of place, and headed to prepare himself.  At first he had questioned whether it would have been appropriate to take her, or just watch from a distance.  He had always been respectful.

They rode the transit into the city together, and finding out they worked at the same building was a pleasant surprise.  It was not long before she was attracted to his kind nature.  She began to sit near him on the train to make small talk, and before long she was sitting next to him having whole conversations.  If he had wanted to have her on the train, he would have, but restraint was necessary.  The perfect opportunity would present itself.  She soon started walking by his office, waving a hello or asking for lunch orders.  They started going out for lunch, and even a few times to dinner.  The first time she had physical contact with him, he knew he had to have her.  She kissed him lightly in his office one day and told him, he was like no one she had ever met.  She pressed herself against him quite often after that, the kisses intensifying after each occurrence.

During this same time he had been planning his annual summer party, and decided to invite her as his special guest.  She had gladly accepted.  That’s when he made the critical decision.  The one he pondered and discussed with himself for days.  He made the decision to show her his cellar, as a sign of complete trust.  Now, as he adjusted his bow tie, he felt saddened his other guests would not enjoy the pleasure of her company.  He realized now the mistake he made of revealing his hobby.  He had imagined an understanding woman, someone who could admire and encourage him.  Her reaction had proved otherwise, and now she would join them.

The doorbell rang.

The caterers.  Better greet them with a smile.

A once over in the mirror, and the game face came on.
